An excellent, gripping listen.

After listening to Susan Lewis' 'No Child of Mine' I was really keen to listen to this, the follow up. 'No Child of Mine' was an unexpectedly brilliant audiobook. It was my first Susan Lewis book and I found it absolutely gripping. I would definitely suggest listening to 'No Child of Mine' first as I feel that familiarity with the plot and characters is essential to the enjoyment of this audiobook. As with the previous book, Susan Lewis' storytelling ability is superb, I felt completely involved in the lives of Charlotte and her family and was gripped throughout. Julia Franklin narrates this beautifully, she voices the different characters perfectly and her warm, compelling voice suits this story so well.

A moving story of the power of love.

Where does Don't Let Me Go rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's definitely ranking on my top 10 listens. I won't forget it in a hurry.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Don't Let Me Go?

The moment Chloey was reunited with her mother Charlotte. I had to hit the pause button and allow myself the good cry I had been putting off.

Have you listened to any of Julia Franklin’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This was a great performance. Julia Franklin not only gave the characters different voices, she let us in to their mind-sets as well.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh and cry at the same time. There were many gripping moments of suspence, and many exciting moments. I could safely say it was an emotional roller coaster but well worth the ride!

Any additional comments?

"No child of mine", and "Don't let me go" are the first two books I have read by this author and judging by her story telling ability, I would recommend her to anybody anyday, but prepare to be taken on an unforgetable journey. Keep the tissues close because when you laugh, you will also find your self crying tears of joy, and when you cry, you will find your self really going for it!

Deeply moving and compelling

I found this book totally compulsive. It is so emotionally charged and brilliantly written and performed. Possibly the best audiobook that I have ever listened too. Absolutely brilliant!

OMG such an intense story........

I honestly could not stop listening such an emotional roller coaster. I love the narrator, but I've found a new writer too.

Lovely story and a great narrator.

Beautiful and emotional story. I did not know this was a 2nd book in series, however it did not matter.
Very horrible to read what can happens to small children because of sick grown ups.

i wanted to love this book.....

i so wanted to love this book, i have read the first and thought I'd listen to the second, however, i can not get into this book as the narrators voice for all the other characters is really bad..... i think this is a book i will have to physically read to enjoy.

Perfect sequel

Would you listen to Don't Let Me Go again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to it again. After reading No Child of Mine, I was desperate to know what happened next and downloaded the sequel immediately. I would happily listen to both again.

What did you like best about this story?

Don't Let Me Go tied up the story without feeling like it was constantly retelling No Child of Mine. It left us wondering what the conclusion would be.

Have you listened to any of Julia Franklin’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I listened to her narration on No Child of Mine and actually found it quite irritating, this story was a huge improvement for me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely.

Any additional comments?

This is the first time I have listened to/read any Susan Lewis books but will be reading a lot more after this!
