Doctor Who and the Sea-Devils by Malcolm Hulke finds the Master aiding and abetting members of a submarine colony who plan to seize control of the Earth.
In Logopolis by Christopher H Bidmead, even the Master is horrified by the threat of total chaos he unintentionally precipitates, and in Castrovalva by the same author he devises a trap for a newly regenerated Doctor.

Enjoyable nostalgia
I remember hearing Christopher Nolan, director of "Dunkirk", "Interstellar" and "Inception", talking about how your age can be tagged by "who is your James Bond, who is your Doctor Who?". I think he is right. My Doctor is a combination of Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.
This is important, I think, as these stories are first and foremost a trip down memory lane, being surprised by how much of these stories flashes into one's mind. I therefore got most out of the three Jon Pertwee stories; all of which I watched first time round; less the Tom Baker story and still less the Peter Davison one.
Also, 5 stories in one bite was a bit much for me; I paused after each one and came back to them, refreshed, after something different.
So depending upon who your Doctor is, you may get more of less out of this collection, but as a light, frothy listen, they are great value.

This takes me back in time.
Remember on a Saturday. You been watching world of sport with Dicky Davis. The wrestling is on with big daddy and giant haystacks. After the football results you got the news followed by Basil Brush, and then Doctor who comes on.
That's the reaction a got when I started to listen to the first few chapters of the audiobook. Great stuff. Amazing how the brain remembers things. Really enjoyed how it took me back in time again. Look forward to reading more of the Doctor Who collection in the future

A fantastic collection.
All the stories contained within this collection perfectly performed and a pleasure to listen to.
This collection perfectly re-creates the pleasure of reading the Target books with actors, writers and producers providing the readings.
Peter Davisons portrayal of Master is both excellect and surprisingly acurate.

Nearly 5 stars
It was a great book but I would have liked to see more story's about the master that didn't appear on TV, as it spoils it for when you watch the TV episode. However I did enjoy how the book explores the characters thoughts which is not something you can do in the actual episode. I like how each story has a person who contributed to either a dr who or just the episode they were reading. I especially liked it when Peter Davison read out his first regeneration story as I always enjoy the actors reading out story! However if I was being really picky I would say get people who sounded relatively similar as Christopher H Bidmead has a rather low voice which was hard to get to grips with as the previous story had had a more soft voiced reader. As a final example Christopher H Bidmeads impression of Tigen sounded nothing like Peter davisons. However this is just me being picky and I would definitely recommend this book as it was so close to 5 stars

wonderful collection
I really enjoyed these stories and felt they were narrated excellently. The current Doctor Who show really romanticizes the Master but this reminds you that he is, in fact, a villain. I highly recommend this book.
