About this listen

Prehistoric Terror Returns to Western Canada!

The sequel to Katie Berry's Award-winning novel, Claw: A Canadian Thriller is here!

Their shattered town rebuilt, the residents of Lawless, BC, are once again ready to get on with their lives, the terrors from the past now behind them. A winter solstice festival is planned to celebrate both the holidays and the townspeople's determination to get things done.

However, human nature and mother nature have different ideas. Between their caprices, Lawless is once again thrust into a maelstrom of avarice, vengeance, and horrors from out of time.

Battered by a huge snowstorm, the small mountain town must pull together and fight for their very lives against vicious predators from both the past and present now wreaking havoc in the surrounding valley.

It’s set 11 months after the first book… it starts by showing us the changes made as the town rebuilt itself… we meet some old favourites and some new characters and beasts.
We also learn about historic findings within the town made by the new mayor. Some of the things found lead to peril.
The adventures along the way to the finale kept me reading… and like the first book I’m left eager for more… unfortunately it’s not available yet.

I bought this book because I listened to the first installment in the series and although the tale was a bit fantastic, I enjoyed it.

Book 2 is basically a remake of book 1, just with a different monster. The story does not progress, the characters do not change and nor does the approach.

Like listening to the same book twice.

Not much difference from book 1
