About this listen

Welcome to the Royal Flush series, where love is the ultimate gamble.

Ryden Foster is a Marine scarred by a painful past of loss and hardship, but with the support of his Four Kings Security family, he’s finally healing. As he rebuilds his life, the only thing he enjoys more than his job is sparring with Jay Starling, Ward Kingston’s flashy executive assistant. Their longstanding feud is filled with sharp banter, weaponized romance novels, and a heat neither will acknowledge.

Jay is organized, efficient, and always in control, except when it comes to Ryden, the brash Marine with a talent for getting under his skin. When a Marine wedding and a client’s murder are linked, Jay and Ryden are pulled into something far more dangerous than petty rivalry. After a chilling encounter, Jay sees a side of Ryden he wasn’t prepared for, one his heart can’t ignore.

As Ryden and Jay join the Kings on a perilous mission, surviving means risking more than just their lives. It means trusting each other with their hearts.

An enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract romance filled with found family shenanigans and high-stakes action.

A great enemies to lovers book where two clueless idiots we've been watching dance around in the background forever finally get together. Very satisfying. The kids birthday party made me actually laugh out loud.

Another great installment

The gang's all here for another enjoyable round of hokum and shenanigans with the Kings and Wild Cards as Ryden and Jay - who have been striking sparks off each other for years - finally get a clue and get their HEA. There's action, explosions and a lot of the great camaraderie that is such an important part of these stories, all wrapped up in a fabulous performance by Greg Boudreaux.

Jay & Ryden finally get a clue!

I was so excited to read this, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I love Ryden and Jay is amazing too.

Greg Boudreaux did an AMAZING job

but now to a slightly spoilery tangent

I did not love Finch's excuse for being mean to Jay when they where young. I do feel bad for Finch but from my understanding he has been mean to Jay before they where in high school. So even though he did take some accountability, it did end up feeling like a half apology. Did not take anything away from the book, just a slight personal annoyance

absolutely loved it
