Story
No memory, no resources, no secret lair, and no time to find her feet: this is the story of a self-made villain, and her fall into strife. Fleeing from unknown enemies and an early death, she emerges into a city gone dark in the aftermath of a complete systems failure. Hounded by heroes, menaced by gangs, and helped by the most unlikely of allies, she claws her way up from weakness to strength and works to build a better future for those who deserve it.

Story
Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

After more than 700 years, he was expecting a peaceful and lonely end to his long life. That, however, was not meant to be. In a world of gods and demons, there is no room for a weak newborn dungeon. The path may be long and dangerous, but with a soul hardier than stone and a will stronger than iron, will he be able to forge his own destiny?

Ryan doesn’t remember much about his life before becoming dungeon core. Only that he had a bit of a disagreement with the church - something to do with a beheading? Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

In the twentieth century Earth sent probes, transmissions and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy.

Summary
Wynne might have been human once. It's hard to say.
Now he's a bunker core, a nanomachine controller responsible for an entire complex.
Of course, the place is a bit wrecked. And the world outside is in ruins. And he's pretty sure that whoever put him here is going to come looking for him at some point. And then there's the raiders....
Bunker Core is dungeon core, post-apocalyptic style. Come for the mutants, stay for the dystopian adventure!

Wow, wasn't sure what this was going to be, the picture looks like D&D but the description doesn't match.

Darker than expected, all the better for it!
Very decent story, keeps a good pace, believable characters.
I enjoyed the consistent feel of a the post-apocalyptic world, the world is a 'Mad Max' / 'Fallout (games)' like hell-hole, and the people who live in it are tough because they need to be. Stuff breaks and people die, and the characters in this story know how to deal with that.
Pet peeves:
- The world opens up fast in the second half of the book, perhaps a bit too fast for some readers.
- Characters keep having an 'idea', 'surprise' or 'insert-cliff-hanger' at the end of a chapter, which the reader has little to no bearing on. Can have the effect that the reader feels left out of the loop or plot.
- Needs the second book to feel like a complete story

narrator excellent and story only improves it
I love the use of what one can only describe to be game theory as a means to help with the heavy lifting of restrictions and what not. The main character we'r introduced to is fasinating and i've come to want to listen more and more, a vicious cycle, but one i was all too happy to induldge in. But as i finish the book, i can only shudder and i ask. "When will the next one be out"

DC Done Right: Easily my Favorite in the Subgenre
Let me just first say that Dungeon Core LITRPG is my favorite LITRPG.
Pros of this story:
*No "I'm stuck in a game and I miss my family." BS.
*No "I just shot 50 people and set two hospitals on fire to stare down the bad guy, but I will not kill him because that would be unethical!" BS
*The MC is both competent and a pragmatist, and a good "person" when he can be. This is pleasant.
*I really liked the universe with DC-on-DC politics overlaying the typical political forces.
*I really liked how even the MC's allies were self-interested and slightly manipulative within the larger mutual goals.
*Conflict resolution was largely handled with out-of-the-box thinking rather than the usual suspects: Luck and OP stats.
*The action always seemed to escalate.
*Having the MC learn the UI during battle was expertly done.
*We got to find out more and more about the MC in what I thought felt entirely organic and natural.
*I really liked the military background of the MC.
*The "special facility" (no spoilers) to the east really piqued my interest.
*Minimal digression from the DC narrative. It's there, and there' were perhaps about 8 minutes I thought could have been edited out, but it was like 95%+ on track.
Cons:
*I didn't care for some of the jokes between characters, but I also don't care for many things that many people like. It's saving grace for me was that the intended characters responded to it as though they liked it. So, it became just a quirk of the characters. I don't need to like the television show Seinfield for millions of other people to like it.
*The book is almost too ambitious. I enjoyed this book about as much as I enjoyed the first time I watched Episode 4 of Star Wars. So, it's almost going to be a shame if this ends up being a stand-alone story in the same way that Episode 4 would somehow be diminished without episodes 5 & 6. From a writing perspective, I'm trusting that Seiple has a tight and refined outline put together. A story like this could shake to pieces like a diesel engine running on alcohol. The biggest challenge in my mind is that although the MC is demonstrably wily, how will he react when he has a chance to breathe and take the initiative?
Dungeon Core books are a new and experimental subgenre. They don't have standardized set-piece scenes yet, and --if not done properly-- reading about grinding levels can be even more boring than grinding said levels. It is not easy to pull this sort of thing off. Done right, Dungeon Core LITRPG is a frontier in fiction, and this book is easily my favorite in the subgenre. Thank you Seiple!

Utterly enjoyed the entirety of the book, the book was very creative and I could feel the story playing out and lost a whole night of sleep simply because I just had to know more. I thanked god it ended because I couldn't pry myself away from it, but sad that I have to wait for more. I will be buying the next book asap and looking forward to the rest of the adventures to come. Thank you for this diamond, there have been few books that I can find and relax while hearing a well written story. was very happy with the narrator, well done.

Its a good, exceptionally entertaining dungeon core litrpg. Nothing else really to say about it. I was engrossed non-stop. Its a bit on the short side but as there is no noticable filler, it actually has more content than most litrpg books.

Excellent Sci-Fi Dungeon Core
Honestly, this is the best thought out dungeon core books I've read so far. It is pure sci-fi with some good world mystery elements to it. It takes a much more serious tone than the boistrous murder-happy themes usually present in the genre (though there is some of that, but the book takes a more antagonistic approach to the pixie/AI foil, so there isn't the same back and forth there), and the reasons for the "rules" and invasions are much more plausible to me.
It is much like Andrew Seiple's other series in that it pokes fun at the originating genres while not actually breaking the 4th wall, making the humor a little more subtle. Overall, quite enjoyable, and I will definitely be getting the next one when it is out!
