Summary

How brave must you be to love a dragon?

Keira loves her rustic village life, but she doesn't love the man her overbearing mother expects her to marry. But that is of little consequence to her neighbors, especially as two newcomers have stirred up excitement in the village.

The first new arrival is Aaron Drake, handsome and charming, and intent on pursuing Keira, which stirs up trouble with her mother and soon-to-be-betrothed.

As for the other new arrival, who wants a fire-breathing dragon living in their backyard?

But both Aaron and the dragon have secrets they would prefer to remain hidden from the villagers. As events begin to escalate, the truth will drastically alter Keira's life in ways she could never have imagined, setting her on a completely new path.

Bound by a Dragon is the first book in The Dragon Archives, a clean, paranormal fantasy that will take you on an epic journey through medieval castles and lairs. Awarded the Indie Brag Award, it will keep you engrossed to the very last chapter.

It could've been sooo much more!

I'm trying to find a good Dragon romance in audiobook, so I came across this beautiful cover and interesting plot. However, as the story progressed, I though the main character "Keira" is soooo predicable and a maiden damsel-in-distress. The dialogue is HORRIBLE! It's like a BAD Disney movie, with no character development or interest in what happens to the main romance. Im not expecting the greatest writing in a romance novel, however I do expect better lines and character development and ROMANCE in a novel. Ugh. I was like, " Did she really just say that? Of all the damn things to say to her lover at that moment...THATS IT??" So lack-luster and BORING. I can't count how many times I ROLLED MY EYES. The Dragon (Im gonna keep him nameless) character is a cardboard cutout you see in infant novels, with a wondering eye for boring maidens like Keira. The dialogue was so bad that I can't continue on finishing this novel, even though I really want to. BUUUUT naw. I probably know what's gonna happen. Perhaps the author should make more interesting characters with better lines and I would've stayed glued to her book. Pretty cover art tho.

Great listen!

I love dragons. Stories about dragons enthrall me. Linda K Hopkins book Bound by a Dragon has changed the way I look at dragons forever. The dragons in this book were once human and are now cursed. Although it can come off as Beauty and the Beast like, I think it works. These dragons can’t break their curse but can take human form. How cool is that! If you like dragons and fantasy with some romance you will like this book.

Great Book!

I first read Bound By A Dragon as an ebook, so was excited to read it as an audiobook. I was not disappointed. I like the fact that Linda Hopkins is a descriptive author without overdoing it, and she touches on sex without that being the focal point of the story. She’s a good writer, which is hard to find with all of the Indie authors out there. I definitely recommend this book and have read, and will continue to read, more of this author. I am posting this review of my own volition.

Amazing book!

This was the first book I had read from Linda Hopkins and I have fallen in love! She writes well and I was wrapped up in the story the whole way along. When I heard that it was coming out as an audiobook I was very excited! This book did not disappoint as an audiobook! The narrator was good and only occasionally was I reminded that it was the same person reading all the different voices! I can not imagine how she managed to keep all the voices straight! I can't wait to hear the next one in the series!

I normally dont go for dragons but...

I actually can say that this was a good experience for me because the narrator did a phenomenal job keeping her voice interesting and the story upbeat. Normally I dont go for books about dragons because I'm more of a vampire fantasy adventure lover but it's a decent story that continues on in future books so what's not too nice with great narration, fun upbeat, interesting fiction and ofcourse plenty of fantasy!! I was given a free copy of this audiobook for my honest feedback in return and enjoyed doing so because I wanted to and as well reached out to :) Mot the other way around lol ;)

A Sensuous Immersion

This is my first experience with reading a book and then listening to a narrator read the same story. Linda K Hopkins creates a full sensory world with vivid description of just the right details and Josephine Hall’s rich, velvety voice drips those details straight into the listener’s heart. With creative genius, Hopkins tackles some scary themes in this story. The characters have to make dire choices and do things that don’t fall into a normal life, but the rewards are also deeper and more lavish than a normal life can hold. Hall clearly distinguishes between the characters with a wide variety of voices and the emotion of the events builds and builds to the stunning climax. I recommend this book to all dragon lovers.

I fell in love with this book many years ago. I just love the narrator’s performance. She captured the essence of the story where the characters came to life. I recommend this audio book to anyone who enjoys listening to a fantastic story and written by an excellent writer, and narrated exemplary. Check out Ms. Hopkins other work they are all fascinating!
