When Max flew away from Anna in a blazing stream of flame, she was determined to forget the shape-shifting, fire-breathing dragon. But five years have passed, and still his memory leaves an ache in her heart. A memory that Garrick Flynn, her childhood friend, would love to erase. When given the chance to travel to the city, the center of medieval life, Anna jumps at the opportunity. But danger and intrigue are never far away as she joins the royal court and serves as companion to the queen. Is it possible to have a second chance at the deep and passionate love she once scorned?

This story has everything, Adventure, betrayal, a love triangle a d lets not forget dragons. theis is Anna and Maxs story. They argue, and smolder in equal mesure.

Book 3 focuses on Anna's story and romance. A common theme in every book in this series is that Anna always finds herself in danger, always get's hurt and guess what, a dragon always saves her. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen in book 4. In the end Anna's romance just seems a copy of Kira's. The storyline plot is very obvious. The author pretty much tells you what's going to happen before it does, so no surprises. I don't think this book justifies nearly 13 hours of listening time and could have been edited down a lot more. I increased the speed to get through it faster especially as the narrator speaks so slow.

I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.
