About this listen

The Silent Forest is a place of whispers, where shadows move when no one’s looking and silence seems to hold its breath. few who enter leave unchanged, and some never leave at all.

When six friends set out on what should be an adventurous weekend in the forest, they expect campfires, exploration and a break from reality. but the deeper they go, the stranger things become. Odd carvings appear on the trees, faint sounds echo through the stillness, and an unsettling presence seems to follow their every step.

Cut off from the world, the group is forced to confront more than just the forest’s eerie mysteries. Tensions rise, paranoia sets in and an unshakable feeling of being watched grows stronger by the hour.

Not all stories end happily, and not all friendships survive the dark.

Step into the Silent Forest — if you dare.

I wish this book would have been revised more as although the premise was gripping, the execution lacked for my tastes.

I was hooked at the beginning by the group of friends deciding to camp into a mysterious forest full of folklore, but as the plot unfolded, I found myself waiting for something to happen and for my attention to be grabbed again.
Whilst the narration was good, I noticed the repetition not only of scenes and events, but also of phrases such as “stomach lurching and churning” or “chill down my spine”, resulting in my brain switching off at times.

I did find some scenes eerie though, so I’d suggest people read it and see for themselves, especially if fan of horror that is not gory and full of blood.

Thanks to the author for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest opinion.

A great premise
