Contains all four books in the Stellar Heritage series. Listen to Legacy, Spheres of Influence, Far Horizons, and When One Door Closes to witness the rise of man's first galactic federation: The Terran Alliance.

When Simon and Katherine Hawke stumble upon an alien shuttle that has landed on Earth, it will not only change the course of their lives but also the entire world. Taking the shuttle into orbit, they discover a much larger ship left adrift with no one on board. Commandeering it, they confirm that we're not alone in the universe and must prepare the human race for what is about to come.

Good overall

I was hooked by these characters and the situation immediately and have listened to these 4 books for well over a week, night and day, spinning back hours of sleep. It's a tale well told... not absolutely perfect but as a reader it more than does the job. I loved being in that world, and the basic idea of it is (I'd say) in most of our opinions exactly the right thing to do with such a find.

Great story-telling!

Loved the story, excellent narration and likeable characters.

It is a well paced series, managed all 4 books in under two weeks. A great space opera to pass the time.

Setup nicely for a new series, a real shame we will not be seeing any more books from Bob, congratulations Bob on a great series.

Filled with everything you need from sci-fi. Spaceships, aliens, cultural clashes, political intrigue, right and wrong, good and bad, accidental adventures at home on Earth and out amongst the stars. Each book keeps adding more and more to the story, staying fresh, getting bigger, going further, everything expanding at the speed of light. more than a few good twists and turns, no nerdy science bits and even a sprinkle of space magic!
An enjoyable easy read (or listen...). Recommended to space novices and starry eyed nerds alike!

all of the sci-fi with none of the nerds

Writing fiction in any genre needs to hang on to reality for it to work. As much as I like the concept of this story
I never believed in the easy way everyone involved williingly accepted events.
