Encouraged to try this book, and something of a departure from my more contemporary tastes, I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the story. Made all the more enjoyable by the fabulous narration by Kate Walsh - I’ve listened to a lot of books, and she’s right up there! Brilliant at creating tensions and embodying the diverse characters, I could (& did!) listen to her all day.
