Discover the standalone dark mafia romance from the New York Times bestselling author and TikTok sensation, perfect for fans of Penelope Douglas and Sophie Lark.
Mia Sokolov, Mafia heiress and selective mute, holds no prisoners.
But when she gives Landon King a taste of his own medicine, she quickly learns that some moves come with dangerous consequences.
Landon King is a genius artist, a posh rich boy, and now obsessed with Mia and the dark secret she’s hiding.
Despite Landon’s psychotic tendencies that push Mia to the edge, his obsession pulls them closer together in ways neither expected.
But as Landon gets nearer to the truth about Mia’s past, so do the horrors that haunt her.
She may have learnt to trust him. But when it all comes crashing down, will he protect or ruin her?

Don’t get me wrong it was a good book but not my favourite and the reason why I gave it a lower rating was because I did find the story a bit repetitive to God of Malice.
There is a common theme throughout this series and that is Landon is at the root of the problem. No matter what incident happens it seems Landon has some type of involvement with it, either being the main conspirator or encouraging people at the sidelines. And you best believe he will be there at the sidelines smiling his usual smirk and laughing. That famous meme where Vince Vaughn is saying “your a problem, your a real real problem”. That is Landon, he is the problem and a big one 😅 you know he does it because he can and just to annoy everyone.
The story is around Landon King and Mia Solokov. Landon is the oldest child and twin of the King siblings (Glyndon and Brandon) and like Killian he is borderline a psychopath/ sociopath and narcissistic but the difference if he doesn’t try to hide it and embraces it. Whilst Killian takes steps to blend in for his friends and family’s benefit, Landon really does not gives a s*** and does what he wants. He can be arrogant, charming and draw people in but there is that question as to whether he feels emotions and empathy and can truly love anyone, just like with Killian in God of Malice. To his credit though he is honest and does not mince his words, so although honesty can be painful at least you know he won’t lie to you.
Whereas me have Mia Solokov, she is sassy and fierce to a fault and gives her heart openly to the ones she loves and considers her friends and family. Like most FMCs in this series, she too has suffered a major trauma in her childhood that continues to impact her now, such as she became mute after being kidnapped when she was younger. So since a very young age she has had to suffer through the after effects of this traumatic event and learn a whole new different way of communicating with others whilst dealing with her emotions. Yet she still does not let anything get her down and will gladly take anyone down who dares to hurt her family. What I loved about her is she is this gothic Barbie, where she wears this gothic style fairy type dress with ribbons in her hair and basic girly makeup. She loves the way she loooks and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. She does create this close friendship with Brandon, which is explored throughout this book, which is cute to see.
In my opinion Landons and Mia’s relationship can best be described as a Romeo and Juliet kind of situation, just without the tragic ending. They come from two different sides, her being a mafia princess and Landon being from a prestigious upper class British family. Landon also has a very very well known rivalry with the Heathens, being the leader of the Elites, so it is a forbidden romance type of trope. Which again is explored within this book and mentioned.
For me there were quite a lot of similarities in God of Malice just because Landon and Killian are very similar characters, and the whole he can feel emotions but only for her trope. That is why the rating is a bit low for me.
I will say those spice senses though, they do be spicing! And you know Landon is well versed in this area so he knows what he is doing! 🥵
I absolutely love… Levi King, the way he is so protective of his children is so hot and hilarious at the same time 🤣
I would recommend listening to the audiobook for the whole series. I have been listening and reading at the same time and gives it a much better experience and there are some scenes 👀👀👀 that makes you feel you are there experiencing it yourself.
But overall loving the Legacy of Gods series, Rina Kent knows how to write her Ken well and her spice scenes are just 😍.
It was great but… felt similar to God of Malice
