Follow an unfortunate soul who has been thrown into a fantasy world with nothing. He is quickly railroaded into joining the Legion and has to develop under harsh conditions while slowly discovering his potential power.

This story has light LitRPG elements with a stat and magic advancement system. The MC is not overpowered and experiences the pain of growth as he tries to find a place in the strange new world while staying alive. Neither are coming easy to him as his Legion Company is constantly in harm's way.

I quite liked the story, it gets straight into the meat without to much preamble and the stat element quickly tails out to a good level so the story is told to a higher degree. The only real issue is there are a few repeated sentences, glitches and other anomalies. The narrator is good, but the edit and mastering needs a bit of smoothing out.

Pretty enjoyable with a few narration glitches

Amazing

The MC starts out on a normal-ish journey for a dude thrown into another world. It's a nice change of pace for them to be a bit sh*t at the start, working up to being adequate. There's a few unexpected things he discovers about himself, but nothing too broken (at least in book 1).
Did book 1 almost in a single sitting.
Great narration. I will definitely be looking at other stories narrated by Jonathan Walters after this.

Great Narrators & good paced story.

It was very fun to re-experience Eric’s journey through Johnathan Waters. It added personality in the characters that I read quite differently. I always imagined Castille’s voice a bit more brusk and Konstantin’s a bit more harsh. It was a fun to see some characters that I had almost forgotten about. You can see from the very first book hints of the moving pieces in the empire. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been waiting for this series to have three books out because I thought I’d love it so much, I was not wrong!
