Critic reviews

A (self) love letter to those whose brains are beautifully and uniquely different. Speaking from lived experience, Rox and Rich manage to shift the paradigm associated with ADHD, which up until now has been riddled with lies and misinformation. This book reminds readers that rather than having a disorder, they are simply differently ordered and when managed with kindness, it can become their superpower! (Riyadh Khalaf , broadcaster, Youtuber and winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2020)
Pre ADHD diagnosis I read so many self development books. I used to try to implement what I learned and would feel like a failure, feel frustrated and blame myself for being lazy when I couldn’t get those strategies to work for me. Books like this are so important for people with ADHD to break free from holding our selves to Neurotypical standards. (Rach Idowu, 'Adulting with ADHD' Neurodivergency advocate)
My whole life i’ve beaten myself up, comparing myself to my peers & wondering why i can’t handle life like them. but actually, ADHD has made me incredibly special, ambition, determined & capable of the most amazing things that others aren’t & for that, i think neurodiversity is a beautiful thing. Love that it's narrated by them but what I love most is the sentiment. Recognising and explaining how neurodivergent people may struggle and (perhaps more importantly) how this can so badly impact them and providing ways to live with better self beliefs and understanding.
All people should listen to this but especially those who know someone neurodivergent.
This will be a repetition book for me, listening over and over throughout my life.

So many things in this book that I can relate to. Doubting whether it's ADHD as I wait 3 years in in an NHS waiting list for assessment and needing to hear the things in this book to reassure me that sticking it out and trying all the ADHD tips is the right way to go. Thank you so much for writing this book and sharing your own struggles. it really does help others like myself feel less alone.

listening to this while tidying up because I need something on while doing so has helped me understand ADHD so much more. having recently being diagnosed im trying to learn as much as possible. This book was just as good as the previous book Dirty laundry. Thank you Richard and Roxanne. looking forward to hearing more.

I liked the way I recognised myself… And I *disliked* the way I recognised myself. This is the realest book I have ever read. Some of it hit so hard, and rang so true that I found myself crying.

Please read this if you are trying to figure out why you just can’t quite seem to get yourself together, no matter how hard you try.

Diagnosed or undiagnosed, you need to read this book

This hit deeper than the first, of course. I can't do self help books if the people aren't relatable, but thankfulatethe guys are. Also it's story driven enough to keep an Adhder like me on track with it, while sprinkling in some much needed advice about how it talk to myself.

If you're still reading...get the book ❤️

Another great book from the Pinks
