Have loved how these books have been presented on audible. The narration allows you to get full absorbed in such great stories. This shorter story lives up to expectations!

I was looking forward to listening to this prequel of the Helen Grace series but was bitterly disappointed for several reasons. The main reason I felt disappointed was the complete lack of effort made to get police procedure & characterisation correct. I’ve never been so irritated by a book. I kept having to tell myself not to be unfair, that it was a work of fiction after all. However, taking literary license into account, I still expect a certain degree of plausibility! I could go into detail about the whys & wherefores, but I won’t. I nevertheless persevered until the end of the book in the hope that I would find something good to say about it but all I can say is that it was an ok story but with some gaping holes in it.
