Does a fine job of ratcheting up the tension...The relentlessly entertaining Reacher format shows no sign of wearing out its welcome just yet.
As well as romance, there's as usual plenty of fast-paced, punchy action and deceptively deft plotting.
I was unable to put thebook down...a brilliantly crafted mystery and one of Child's best.

As always, I love Jack Reacher books and Jeff Harding always does an awesome job of reading them.
I just felt this was a bit flat and didn't hold me as much as the last few.
Still enjoyed it, just not enough for 5 stars

The book is the usual standard from Lee Child. But the story line is very slow to start with and takes a while to get going.
The plot keeps you interested, which for me makes it a good listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. There is something poetic about the writing: the repeated phrases, and the recurrence of images. The reader has noticed this, and brings it out. There is also humour in this book, and again, Jeff Harding can get the humorous edge into his voice.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Reacher is always my favourite character. He represents an archetype: a free man.

Which character – as performed by Jeff Harding – was your favourite?

Reacher again. The books are always written in Reacher's voice, and Jeff Harding reads them in Reacher's voice. He does the other voices well too. There are a lot of different voices here, and for me he made the voices match the descriptions very well. I'd read the book first, and listened to it second. None of the voices jarred.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The scenes towards the end are very grim.

But ultimately this is a satisfying book. It all makes sense in the end. It's also satisfying because things recur and come round again, as they should.

It's a book about dying. It's like a on essay on dying, ways of dying, ways of killing. When is death justified? So be careful about reading this if you are recently bereaved.

After a couple of not so good entries in the series, Make Me sees Reacher back on familiar ground.

If you've read all the stories up to now, then you probably enjoy what is after all a tried and tested formula. Whilst this book won't exactly shock you, it's a big improvement on 'Personal'.

It takes time to get going but, when what the bad guys are really up to is revealed, it's quite dark stuff.
