Wonderful book

Very dense book in terms of information. Listen it slowly and carefully, takes lots of notes and pay close attention to sequencing. If you're looking for quick and simple answers to the difficult questions of autophagy, then this book is not for you. But if you are serious about health, then this book is a must-listen.

Really worth listening

This book is a great combination of science in the first half and practical how-to in the scecond. Author explains what happens when you don’t “clean” fast and how what you ingest during the fasting window affects the results you may get and your health. I really appreciated the indepth look at a 5 day fast as well.

Surprised by the high reviews.

I’ve listened to the first 2 chapters on my commute. I actually thought it was on some kind of loop. It constantly repeats the same info. Useful info for sure about methods to use and evidence, but doesn’t have to be repeated so often. A lot of dry material about celbiology. (As an MD i’m not new to the material) but very dry listening. Narration is well pronounced but a bit robotic.

I wasted my monthly credit!

This book is truly the most boring, repetitive audio book I have EVER listened to. I have purchased quite a few self help/health audio books and have found them to be great to listen to during my commute to work. This book literally explains the meaning of Autophagy in just about every chapter without detailed instructions. AWFUL.

This book is compiled by AI and read by the same. You need a decoder to make sense of incoherent and repeated sentences. The claimed author is probably a programmer pulling a fast one on unsuspecting customers.

Most certainly not a practical guide to anything.

Don't get me wrong - I love the more sciency self-help books and especially when it comes to nutrition, there are far too many feel-good-bibles about and not enough course books, so to say. This particular book will very likely end up in my physical book shelf, but for an audio book, it is way too theoretical. You would need to take notes at the same time. In addition to that, the narrator - although she has a pleasant voice and masters pronouncing most termini flawlessly, just "produces" the text. I feel this would have benefited from a teacher reading it, as the text is very much like a lecture. I didn't get past 30 minutes, but I hope to find a time and space where I can use this together with the physical book.

Informative indeed.

Autophagy is derived from two Greek words auto and phay. Auto means self and phagy means eating. This method requires some eating habits that you need to develop in order for your body to stay healthy. In the process of autophagy, the habit of eating right is important in order to repair the damaged cells in your body.
