About this listen

Jeb Trapper tried to kill himself. The gun jammed.

Two months later, the vet is now participating in underground trials of ecstasy to treat his PTSD. Everything seems to be going great until:

>>>The System Has Been Installed<<<

Jeb is teleported into a tutorial, along with everyone else on Earth. Now, he has to choose the level of difficulty. There's just one problem: He's high as a kite, and nothing seems impossible.

Enjoyable, none-standard 'hero' story with some light LitRPG elements.

The MC is more 'grown-up' that a lot of other story I've read, which was very enjoyable. No panicky or self important, ass for a MC in this story. And not just the MC is written that way, most side characters have some depth to them (particularly for a self-published story). The side characters, while not always 'likeable', in this story don't need to be, each person has their good and bad sides.

Towards the end, the writing of the story is a bit more scuffed (less well edited maybe), the pace of events is still high but bit more clumsy in descriptions and character actions.

I also read reviews on this books about people were very upset by a plot twist. I can see that, but honestly I feel it fits within story, if you think how the main character interacts with the 'generic system'. Some people may have wanted a more 'generic' LitRPG system in that sense, this series is more than that.

Little Gritty, Some humor and creative LitRPG-lite

I really enjoyed this book Crafting wizard is an interesting concept but some of his ideas is like how did he get the resources to make that and on a side note i have no idea why the Cover art is so not related to the MC

This is the most enjoyable listen I have had in a long time.

I have unfortunately been labeled a lunatic by my neighbors. Me sitting on my balcony cackling madly with laughter with no-one close-by.
But who cares.

I usually go by, “If a book makes you feel something then it is a keeper”. This book have kept a foolish grin on my face, from start to finish.

The narration by Steve Campbell.
Hard to describe in words. This is what you want out of a storyteller. Just give him 40 more years and you have Gandalf sitting around the fire telling stories to a spellbound audience.

If there is something i don’t like then it is the LitRPG summery of (skills usually) inventory. If you read it yourself then it is ok, since you can just skimmer thou it. But to listen to the summery is just annoying.
Fortunately there is a pretty limited amount of it.

This is it!

Finished in 1 go. 2 is downloading on my phone ready to go later.

Compelling story keeps you hooked and going. Original and interesting LitRPG elements, not copy pasta. Somehow stays perfectly in the scope of cool and interesting while not being stupidly exaggerated and over the top.

Read like 100 LitRPGs, one of the best.

This book was fantastic. The story was interesting and kept flowing. The magic was instructing and strong while having problems of its own.

Which leads into the game lit elements. They only added to the narrative and didn't ever leave you listening to a 4 minute stat page read.

I really recommend this book.

Superb
