Harry Bosch finds himself yet again in charge of a case that no one else will touch. This time his job is to nail the killer of hot shot black lawyer Howard Elias. I love the Harry Bosch books and am currently listening to them all in order. After Dick Hill's wonderful narration on the previous books Peter Giles's takes a while to get used to. Initially it sounds like every line is being said like it's the tag line on a movie trailer but stick with it and you will get so absorbed in the story that it won't matter. I got used to the narration as the book went on and it didn't bother me after a while.
The story is great, as they have all been so far, plenty of gritty police in fighting and intrigue as well as a case complicated enough that you won't guess the outcome straight away.
I'm off to listen to the next one now!
