I have this whole series and have loved these books .I hope this is not the end !!! This book was a great listen just like the others in the series .DC is a wonderful character a little old fashioned but an experienced detective sergeant investigating his last case before he retires.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of books by Peter Grainger. Being ex-police, I could relate to this man and loved his dry sense of humour; something that many police end up with having seen so many horrific things.

These books have been well thought out and well narrated by Gildart Jackson.

The story is well written and was a great listen - It makes a change from most crime writing, as the main characters are human and decent living, with minimal bad language. Itleaves you wanting more.

Oh how I love this man. Enjoyed this final book in the series or though I hope there wi ll be more. I have loved every book in this series and DC Smith has found a little place in my heart. Please, please let there be more in this series. Don’t let it end now. Maybe early Smith or Private investigator Smith. Not sure I can do without him. Loved the narrator Gildart Jackson I can picture Smith perfectly. These books would make a great TV series. Fabulous story.
