I have stated this before and there’s no doubt I’ll make the same point again. If words tummble from the mouth of a character then it is blatantly obvious that they were ‘said’. What is not so obvious is how they were ‘said’ that is what readers need to know not the fact of them having been ‘said’ so for that reason this story loses one star. there is far too much ‘said’ in it for my taste. Now for the story. Well, it reminds me a bit of ‘Alice’s adventures in wonderland’ teenage stylle. The central character certainly is going through a truly messed up period of her life not helped by the performance though she has nothing to do with that. Valllery is in most respects, a typical teenager all mixed up inside and out, a crazy but with something more in there. Thenaration is truly awful though. I can’t explain why it is so bad but it is. You’ll have to take the book and try it to fully understand just how bad the performance is though I’m not sure I’d recommend it unless you don’t mind a whole bunch of ‘said’ that is and you want something truly warped and weird in which case yeah, this book is pretty close to the mark.

Weird, eratic kind of fantasy

So I wasn’t able to Finnish this book.
The way it is written is frustrating. There is so much “said” and it doesn’t need to be written so much, we can tell that it’s been spoken by the character but what is lacking is the information we need to know how it was said.
It felt a bit hard to get into the flow because the sentences felt a bit short. I liked the idea of the story and from what I got through it was good.
The main reason I couldn’t Finnish the book was because it sounded like the narrator was reading the words and not actually reading a book. There was a lot feeling and emotion that was lacking.

From what I did read the story was ok
