Great listen kept you guessing to the end , very likeable characters, good detail to history

Despite being a tale of ill health and the restrictions of Victorian society this is quite charming albeit a murder mystery. The inept inspector is very likeable and the location is very well observed.

Sadly, i couldn't get into this book. It felt a strange pace caused by the narrator. Nothing worthwhile to report about the story.

My problem with this book was that i didn’t really like the main character. He’s frankly a lecher and seems to throw himself into the life of another character with not much encouragement and while on duty. The plot hinge was a bit trite and this all felt very old fashioned in its writing and outlook.
