Ravenscroft is sent from the grimy streets of Whitechapel to investigate. Aided by his trusty companion Constable Tom Crabb, Ravenscroft soon discovers that behind the cathedral’s facade lurks a dark world of death and deceit. Could the murder relate to an unsolved mystery dating back nearly forty years? Meanwhile, in London, a mysterious woman in black is wreaking revenge in the dark alleyways of Whitechapel. In a spectacular climax, the two worlds of Worcester and Whitechapel meet. Historical Mystery Murder Fiction England Exciting Scary

Another great story from Kerry Tombs in Ravenscroft & Crabbe series. I love the atmospheric settings for the book and you can identify with the genuine characters. Excellently narrated and looking forward to the next one in the series.

another excellent story

The story has a good enough pace, the narrator/VA performs well, and there are not any annoying elements which would pull you out of the experience. Perhaps not the most complex book in the world, but this comes with the bonus of not having overly complicated and meandering writing. Very solid, and well worth a credit.

A charming, light read

I read the first book and thoroughly enjoyed it, so was keen to start this second book.

I’m always fascinated by Jack the Ripper and this had a fabulous twist in it and then right at the end it had another brilliant twist that I wasn’t expecting!

All this on top of another good murder mystery adventure! Absolutely brilliantly done Kerry Tombs, I’m straight off to download the third book!!

As always brilliantly narrated by Andrew Callum.
