Timothy Roy Carter grew up in North Georgia as the middle child of a pastor. His upbringing shaped a lifelong calling to ministry. He accepted Christ at an early age and was credentialed with the Church of God in 1999. Since then, he has served as Lead Pastor at multiple churches and continues to preach and teach the Word with clarity and conviction. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry with a concentration in counseling from Lee University and a Master of Divinity from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. His focus has always been to help people understand the Bible and apply it to their lives. In addition to preaching, Timothy writes regularly. He has published columns for The Hartwell Sun and other newspapers, aiming to make biblical truth and everyday wisdom easier to understand. His writing includes both fiction and nonfiction—ranging from Christian living and Bible study to science fiction stories that explore moral questions and human nature. Timothy also teaches and mentors writers. He has written practical guides for those looking to improve their writing and reach readers with clarity and purpose. When he’s not writing or preaching, he enjoys sketching, painting, and learning about health and nutrition. He believes caring for the body and mind is part of being a good steward of the life God gives. At heart, Timothy is a teacher. Whether through sermons, books, or conversations, his goal is to help people grow in faith, live with purpose, and understand Scripture more clearly.
