Sally De Smet was born in Nashville, Tennessee but lived in many areas as the daughter of a Naval officer. She was the shy little kid who stayed in her room a lot, channeling her sensitivity into stories and art. Her writing explores human emotion while weaving a story full of intrigue and mystery. Her debut book, PAGES IN THE WIND, won numerous awards; Feathered Quill First Place Gold for Best Debut author, Beverly Hills Book Award, the Eric Hoffer Award 2017, and the Wishing Shelf Finalist 2016. She has gone on to write BROOKLYN BITTERS, an award winning novel that combines mystery and family drama. She is working on her third novel, IVAN'S WIFE, a thriller set in the Soviet Union and Los Angeles. Her storytelling skills have been recognized by the psychiatric community and educators—blending psychology and fiction into a compelling narrative.
