I am a writer and creative consultant specializing in flavorful things. Trained in graphic design, I expanded my skills to become an advertising creative director. Most of my career has been focused on creative projects around food and beverages, especially craft beer. Eventually, I gained enough knowledge to have something to say about beer. As a writer, I’ve always tried to accomplish several things. First is to write books that don’t yet exist, as it's all too easy to rehash the same tired territory. Second, I always strive to provide information that is new to every reader, no matter their knowledge level. This takes some digging, but that’s really the fun of these projects. Third, I’m looking to change the way my readers perceive the topic and their relationship to it. I always try to do this in a clear and encouraging voice, no matter how intimidating the subject matter may be. I also value visual information, so I always put together the basics of the accompanying visuals.
