My first novel, "Terms and Conditions" is about a software designer's encounter with an app that has a sinister purpose, and his battle of wits with an enemy he refuses to acknowledge, It is available in paperback, hard back, Kindle and Audio. My second novel, "Return from Casablanca" is a spy thriller set in modern day Casablanca--the classic Warner Brothers film is one of my very favorites. I often speculated on how the film might have been done today, and "Return From Casablanca" is my concept of how that might be done. It is the first of a series. Other books, all available on Amazon, include "Crisis of Conscience," "Occam's Razor" and the latest, "Paradox" I always wondered what happened to the movie characters after they disappeared into the airport fog. Didn't everyone? My own favorite fiction authors are the late Tom Clancy, Preston and Child, and James Lee Burke. I have also taken a liking to Ian Fleming's James Bond novels. 007 looks better than ever as I get older. You can't beat David McCullough for non-fiction histories. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa, with my wife of 45 years. In 1976, while attending Penn State, I took a creative writing course on a whim, and was bit by the "author bug." In fact, the same tree in the background of my (recently taken) photo provided the shade for several of my creative writing class sessions, conducted outdoors during the Summer of 1976. Life intruded--kids to raise, jobs to do, major appliances to purchase, etc. Now that I have retired from 35 years with a state agency, that dormant bug is quite active. (Especially when Charley, the world's noisiest house cat, or whichever of our seven grandkids is around allows...) I have been blessed with family and close friends who edit, ask questions, and help me fine tune my ideas, shaping them into the stories I hope you'll enjoy.
