Melanie Leamy

Melanie Leamy

Melanie Leamy was born in May of 1982 in Germany. After graduation from high school in 2002, she was unsure in what direction her life should go and she therefore did a number of different things including one year of psychology studies and some voluntary work for the local hospice. Melanie had always been interested in holistic ways of healing which was what led her to becoming a Reiki practitioner, Reiki teacher, Aroma Touch Technique practitioner and Mindfulness Meditation instructor. She also trained as bilingual secretary in English, French and Spanish. Melanie became a member of the Shambhala lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and there, during a workshop at her local Shambhala centre, she met and fell in love with her Irish husband. Melanie has been living and working in Ireland since 2010. She has her own complementary therapy practice in Dublin where she works with people of all age groups and from all walks of life. Since her husband's death in 2018, Melanie has been writing a blog and speaking on various podcasts about her experience with loving and losing. Melanie's deepest wish is to work as complementary therapist in end-of-life and palliative care at an Irish hospital.
