Lana Stasek is an award-winning, Ukrainian-born author and independent publisher who deconstructs family trauma with surgical precision and a sharp dose of humor. Recognized at the 2026 Readers' Favorite International Book Awards, she turns the silence of her past into raw, narrative non-fiction that refuses to offer easy comfort.

Lana began writing when her memories simply overflowed. Facing a clear family history, where every woman on her paternal side starting with her great-grandmother developed dementia and Alzheimer's, she chose to act while her mind was entirely sharp. Knowing her window of clarity might have a time limit, she set out to document her life with unvarnished accuracy. She records her own story while preserving the memory of everyone who left a real footprint on her journey rather than just passing by.

She does not claim to be a licensed expert or behavioral scientist. Instead, her work relies on her personal vision and a relentless drive to break down cause-and-effect relationships, dissecting human choices as she witnessed them through the lens of dark humor and emotional survival.

Her acclaimed *Voices Within* series includes *Family Chronicles*, *Life Before and After*, and the novel *Bella: Beyond the Bark*. Each title stands completely on its own, allowing readers and listeners to start anywhere.

Lana does not write heroic memoirs or self-help fluff.
