Born in Australia and educated at Sydney and Oxford Universities, Dr Kathleen Riley is a writer and classical scholar. She is the author of Nigel Hawthorne on Stage (University of Hertfordshire Press 2004), The Reception and Performance of Euripides’ Herakles: Reasoning Madness (OUP 2008), The Astaires: Fred & Adele (OUP 2012) and Imagining Ithaca: Nostos and Nostalgia Since the Great War (OUP 2021), and lead editor of Oscar Wilde and Classical Antiquity (OUP 2017). She is also a contributor to Dionysus Since 69 (OUP 2004), The Ancient Dancer in the Modern World (OUP 2010) and Seamus Heaney and The Classics: Bann Valley Muses (OUP 2019).
