I am an author of different genres but I finally settled on writing for children when I realised how much fun it is to let the imagination loose in the way that only children (and those still kids at heart) love to see in stories. As well as writing books, I am the vice coordinator of a national children's book award. I also review kids books for BBC Radio Berkshire, Bookstagram and Amazon (of course!) When I'm not busy hiding away with my laptop and notebooks in my little cupboard of a work room, I carry out creative writing workshops in schools and literary festivals. This is something I absolutely adore doing as it combines my love of stories and writing with my many years experience as a primary school teacher.
