Kate Muir is a women’s health campaigner, writer and documentary maker. Her book Everything You Need to Know About the Pill (but were too afraid to ask) is out in 2024 and reveals the truth about contraception. Her previous book Everything You Need to Know About the Menopause is out in paperback. She pitched and produced three groundbreaking menopause and pill documentaries with Davina McCall for Channel 4. Her novels are West Coast, Left Bank and Suffragette City, and her non-fiction books include Arms and the Woman about female soldiers going into combat. She was previously Chief Film Critic of The Times, and has worked as a correspondent for the paper in New York, Paris and Washington. She grew up in Glasgow and now lives in London.
