Karen Holst is an entrepreneur turned intrepreneur. She co-founded educational technology startup MyEdu, formerly Pick-A-Prof (acquired by Blackboard), and transitioned to intrepreneurial roles within the California Department of Education, IDEO, Autodesk, and LinkedIn Learning. From government agencies and non-profits to startups and Fortune 500 companies, Karen has worked with organizations of varying sizes and across industries to help their leadership unlock creative potential and empower their employees to innovate. Her expertise in innovation has been featured in TechCrunch, The New York Times, NPR, The Chicago Tribute, CNN, and more. Karen is a product leader with deep expertise in human-centered design strategies, creative problem-solving, and product innovation. Karen writes, teaches, mentors, and advises on how to create technology with a broader impact. Karen and her family split their time living a bi-coastal life: San Francisco and Los Angeles, California, for half the year and Montreal, Quebec, for the other half. Avid marathon runner and 10-mile swimmer, Karen is addicted to taking on new challenges and fueled by curiosity and discovery--every day.
