Hillhouse has eight published books of fiction - adult contemporary (Oh Gad!, Dancing Nude in the Moonlight) to teen/young adult (Musical Youth) to middle grade (The Boy from Willow Bend) to children's picture books (Lost! A Caribbean Sea Adventure, With Grace, The Jungle Outside, To be a Cheetah). Several of her poems, short fiction, non-fiction, and other writing (play/screenplay) have been published in Caribbean and international anthologies and journals including New Daughters of African (and its abridged German translation) and Pepperpot: Best New Stories from the Caribbean. She freelances as a writer, editor, writing coach, and course/workshop facilitator.
