Gustavo Vázquez-Lozano has authored over thirty titles in English and Spanish, and collaborates with several printed media in Mexico and the United States. A graduate of Liberal Studies in NYU, and Creative Writing in Wesleyan University, he has written extensively about early Christianity and Mexico´s history. He is also a successful fiction author with award-winning novels such as "La Estrella del Sur" (The Southern Star) and "El elefante que sonreía" (El elefante que sonreía"). Among his most recent publications are the history of the Aztec Eagles, the Mexican pilots in World War II (Libros de México), and the life of Empress Carlotta after the failed Mexican Empire (Random House), both met with critical success. He has received important literary awards in Mexico.
