Deivede Eder Ferreira is a psychoanalyst, philosopher, author, and founder of the Brazilian Association of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis (ABRAFP). His work brings psychoanalysis into dialogue with philosophy, anthropology, cultural criticism, and contemporary life, exploring the unconscious, desire, trauma, sexuality, money, work, technology, and human relationships.

He writes nonfiction and literary fiction, including conceptual dictionaries, intellectual biographies, critical studies, and accessible introductions to Freud, Jung, Melanie Klein, Winnicott, Lacan, Bion, Ferenczi, Fromm, and Otto Rank.

His major projects include The Pocket Psychoanalysis Library and The New Theory of Phantasmatic Death, presented in Does the Unconscious Desire Determine the Way We Die? His books are published internationally by ABRAFP International Press.
