Debbie Alsdorf is committed to encouraging women to live a better story. An unwanted divorce left her with a broken heart and broken dreams. She almost gave up. It was a dark season.But instead of giving up, she started over. She got real with God about her brokenness and found the courage to ask Jesus to meet her in the pain. She went back to the basics of Scripture in order to build a new foundation based solely on His love for her. Step by step she began coming out of depression, discouragement and perfectionism. Most importantly she began to realize that even without a perfect life or performance she was "enough" and her life was a sacred journey of learning to experience God at each new turn. Emerging from this dark season of the soul, her heart began to beat with passion for reaching other women whose stories weren't perfect but could still be fulfilling and beautiful. Known affectionately as a cheerleader of hope, she has spent the past twenty years encouraging women to live in a new reality of trusting God with the pieces of their lives. When not serving her local community or spending time with her family, she spends her time speaking to women at conferences and retreats. In addition to writing and speaking she is the co-founder of Design4Living Ministries, dedicated to equipping God's people for lives of faith through discipleship, mentoring and healing retreats. Debbie has been a biblical lay-counselor for twenty years, a certified life coach and a member of the AACC. (American Association of Christian Counselors). She and her husband Ray have raised a blended family of four children who have now blessed their lives with ten grandchildren. Debbie loves the beach, morning coffee, walks with friends and hearing one of the littles call her Grammy.
