Dr. David Bennett is a theologian, speaker, and bestselling author whose work sits at the intersection of systematic theology, Christian ethics, and pastoral practice, with a particular focus on love, desire, the theology of personhood and the Trinity, and what it means to be human and flourish in Christ. Originally from Sydney, Australia—where he studied creative writing, journalism, international relations, and French—and from an atheist, anti-Christian, gay-activist background, he came to Oxford to study theology. He holds postgraduate degrees in theology from Oxford and an MLitt in analytic and exegetical theology from the University of St. Andrews (Dean's Award for Academic Excellence) and completed his DPhil in theology at Oxford. He now serves as a postdoctoral research fellow in Oxford's faculty of theology and religion and associate research fellow at Wycliffe Hall and theologian in residence at Reality San Francisco and Church of the City New York.
