Being born and raised in the Midwest created a conservative, practical thinking American. Though majoring in mechanical engineering classes in college, I had always wanted to write. Through college only gave me experience with small poems and stories for school newspapers. Once at work I had plenty of tecnhical writing to do, but I still wanted to do fiction, namely science-fiction which I have always loved. You may see in my first book, Ritual Consequences, I also read a lot of history and my share of theology. Of course a few things happened on the way. I married the most wonderful woman in the world, my high-school sweetheard Daphne, who has always been my biggest supporter whatever I did. We had two sons, both of which are fine men on their own now. Both sons got married and now I have the joy of a grand-daughter, Illyria. By the way, I love that name since it is the the name of an ancient area that more recently was known as Jugoslavia. I have a shared story with Patric Tracy coming out on the last Crimson Pact #5 anthology.
