D.W. Ross is a fantasy author based in the west coast of Scotland, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He grew up reading epic fantasy and never really stopped. The kind of stories built on ancient powers, hard choices and battles that stay with you long after you’ve finished them. That early love of reading came from time spent with his grandfather, who always seemed to have another book waiting for him to dive in to. Writing wasn’t a straight path. It came in waves and fale starts over the years until he eventually committed to finishing a story that had been with him for a long time. That became The Onyxborn Chronicles. The series is now complete as a trilogy: Cold From The North, The Darkest Dusk and The Fury of Fate. He is currently working on his next four book series, with the first installment, The Seeds of Rebellion, due in 2027. When he’s not writing, he’s usually spending time with his family, running Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, listening to heavy music, lifting weights with friends, or drinking far too much sugar-free Irn-Bru.
