I, Cassandra Straight, have loved Reed Shamrock to distraction since I was a teenager. I even watched him fall in love with someone else and almost get married. A year ago, when he walked into his house and found his fiancée's face in his best friend's crotch, his life changed forever and it hasn't been the same since. And I sure as hell didn't count on not being able to tell when pretend turned to reality. When it all implodes, the only thing left is the truth. Sometimes though, the truth? I was hooked on this book from the start

This is a situation where the girl didn't appreciate the man she has until it's too late, and Lacy certainly did not.
Cassandra(Sass) is in love with Reed since she was fourteenth and she finally got her chance when Lacy cheated on Reed and turned his life upside down. After one year, Reed still found it difficult to move on.

As the saying goes, when one door is closed another is open. Sass went through that door and encourage Reed to pretend they are in a relationship so his ex-fiance will believe he is moving on.
The pretense started out well then, fake become real. Then insecurities and Lacy strike.

I really can't believe Reed fell for his Lacy's tricks when he knows how manipulative she can be. She and Taylor deserve each other, he is even worse than her.

Read and Sass went through manipulations, ups and downs, twists and turns before they get their HEA but even through all their struggles their relationship was true and passionate. I loved every single minute of the story and I could not ask for a better ending. I completly recommend it.

I liked this older brother's best friend, fake dating romance! I really enjoyed seeing the main characters get together and I really disliked the ex! I loved hearing these characters brought to life!
