Summary

A hated outsider. A shocking death. And everyone has a reason for murder....

DCI Harry Grimm is settling into the rhythms of Yorkshire. Though he knows the idyllic rural landscape can hide dark deeds, the methodical investigator trusts his colleagues to guard his back. And it’s easy to keep dodging discussions about the future when he’s called to a crime scene with a body that’s missing both hands.

Identifying the victim as a city property developer who moved to the countryside, Grimm links him to a recent meeting about the affordable housing crisis. And learning the deceased man had angered too many locals to count, the determined detective and his team labor to eliminate an endless list of suspects.

Can Grimm bring the case home, or will the clever killer slip through his fingers?

Dead Man's Hands is the enthralling 15th book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like imposing heroes, fast-paced mysteries, and gruesome theatrics, then you’ll adore David J. Gatward’s grisly clues. Buy Dead Man's Hands to grasp at the truth today!

Perfect for fans of L. J. Ross, J. D. Kirk, Adam Croft, Simon McCleave, Alex Smith, J. M. Dalgliesh, J. E. Mayhew, and J. R. Ellis.

I just love the team!

I feel like part of the family! I love the characters, the stories and their surroundings!

I've 'read' all the books and love them! If Mr Gatward decides to write 100 Grimm novels, it'll be good by me!

Yet another excellent listen. I love Aubrey Parsons voice and David can make me laugh at some of the characters and things they say and do.

Another great Grimm.

Another cracking listen in the Harry Grimm saga from David Gatward. Every book read in this series is like catching up with old friends. Dave's writing is spot on and is obviously well researched and his description of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside brings extra enjoyment to this blind man. Well written and gripping from start to finish I have no hesitation in recommending this 15th book. Aubrey Parsons does a great job of the narration and brings all the characters to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.

Very Enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this book.As one of the other reviewers commented, it was over too soon. I will be watching out for the next one. Looking forward to another few hours in the company of Grimm.

Best one for a while

I always enjoy these books, loving the links to my native county, but this one was a cracker finishing far too soon.

Another strong book

Love this series and each book tells us more about the lives of the protagonists. On top of this, a strong central storyline.
Brilliantly read as always.

A superb listen, as always!

I can't remember how I came across Book 1 - Grimm Up North - but I'm so glad I did, and I've just finished listening to Book 15! You're a fantastic storyteller, Dave - and nobody could narrate them better than Aubrey, who brings every character to life. I'm sure the local businesses in Hawes are enjoying the influx of visitors too - especially the Fountain and Cockett's butchers! Hopefully, Grimmfest will be repeated next year, as I can't make the inaugural event next month. I'm now waiting (im)patiently for Book 16....... I might just have to start over from the beginning!
