The Tierfall Series

Rome never fell. And something beyond its frontier is emptying the villages.Amis would have lived among books. Until the dead came to his door.An ink-stained apprentice in Paris, Amis was more at home with his studies and his master’s eccentricities than with soldiers or swords. That life ends the night Guy de Chauliac drags a dying stranger through the door: a blinded knight, hunted, wounded, and carrying a warning from a war Amis was never meant to know existed.Forced from the safety of his master’s house and onto the frozen roads beyond Paris, Amis finds himself traveling with a battered company of Roman soldiers, disgraced officers, and men who have good reason to keep their pasts buried. Beyond the frontier, villages are disappearing. Assassins are closing in. And beneath the Republic’s roads, legions, and ancient traditions, another war is being fought—one over forbidden knowledge, bloodlines, and truths powerful men have killed to keep hidden.Amis is no soldier, and the powers moving around him have no intention of waiting until he is ready. To survive, he must learn who is protecting him, who is using him, and why his existence may threaten the balance that holds his world in chains.A world where the empire never ended. The Seventh Tier is set in an alternate history where Rome endured — its legions, roads, and hierarchies still shaping a continent long past the point our own history let them go. It is a cold, grounded, boots-in-the-mud world. And the further Amis travels from Paris, the less of it turns out to be history at all. What you'll find inside:Roman-inspired alternate history with a hard military edgeA marching company of soldiers, deserters, and disgraced officersForbidden knowledge, buried technology, and bloodlines worth killing forA slow-burn cosmic mystery running beneath a grim frontier campaignAdult science fantasy — grounded, patient, and built for a long seriesThe Seventh Tier is Book One of Tierfall.
