The Rae Wars Series

Nearly 1,000 years after humanity has left Earth and taken to the stars, a rift has opened in the center of the galaxy. The rift has been teleporting new planets, known as Nomen, into the solar systems. A period of tense peace begins between formerly warring factions, as a galactic land grab begins to claim and colonize these Nomen. But the mysterious Nomen carry a dark secret within them, a secret that could lead to the end of humanity. This secret is stumbled upon by four unlikely heroes, each from a faction that hates the other. 

The universe is in chaos. After a mysterious ancient alien race invaded human space, wiping out untold millions on dozens of worlds, humankind teeters on the brink of utter disaster. Only two paths forward seem to exist: enslavement or annihilation. But a small team of humans - seemingly thrown together by fate - emerge from the chaos of the attack, coalescing around a solitary noble warrior and a woman who the enemy seem to fear.
