Now alone and traveling by boat through Canadian waters, what will Miranda do? In order for her to have a chance at freedom, she must stick to Jake Logan’s plan and reach The Last Frontier in hopes of disappearing into interior Alaska. Miranda must elude an ex-boyfriend who was also hired by the casino to recover the stolen money and bring Jake and Miranda to justice; Bruce Baldwin, an obsessive crime boss who considers Miranda his property; and a team of mercenaries he hired to bring her back to Las Vegas at any cost.

Book three starts several months after Jake Logan was found floating in the Georgia Strait. He remains in a coma in the Surrey Hospital. Damien and Miranda, after eluding Vladimir and his team, have settled in somewhere to the east of McGrath, Alaska, hiding from the rest of civilization. Vladimir and his team have dispersed around the world waiting for Damien and Miranda to make a mistake.
