Diary of My Best Friend, Horsing Around

All 11-year-old Emma wants to be is a professional showjumper when she grows up. The only problem is, she doesn’t have a horse of her own to train with. An outride with her friends leads to the discovery of an abandoned, malnourished gray gelding. As Emma works to restore the horse back to health, she is determined to adopt him as her own. But will her love be enough to overcome the obstacles that loom over their budding relationship?

Now that Freckles belongs to Emma, she's determined to turn him into the showjumper she's always dreamed of! When she starts going to competitions, she has a series of challenges facing her: Freckles' wild nature, strained friendships, and Themba's new irritability with her. Emma quickly realizes it will take a lot more than hard work to make her dreams come true.
