Larek Holsten is different from most people, living in the Kingdom of Androthe where his 7-foot-tall frame is looked at with suspicion and anger from its shorter residents; but as long as it helps him become the best Logger he can be, he doesn’t let it bother him all that much. Even though he never intended it to happen, the events that occurred in the city of Forgestone have set Thaden on a course to fix the problems that he inadvertently caused. His inner sense of responsibility has now put him firmly on the path to eliminate or at least minimize the destruction and loss of life that could occur from the fallout of the SPECIAL Quests he’s been assigned, so he is putting all his focus on accomplishing this feat as soon as possible.

Milton Frederick was originally abducted from his apartment to help defend one batch of pacifistic aliens called The Collective against another set of homicidal aliens called Heliothropes...but he never quite made it that far. Instead, during the process where his human consciousness was ripped from his body and inserted into a massive metal contraption called a Station Core, the ship that he was being transported on blew up and he was sent hurtling through space.

Because with his Level being over 21, he can now be attacked by other Contenders with a lower Level than him; they are eager to bring him down so that they’ll have a chance at the top spot, which will guarantee that their families back home on Earth will be safe.

After her negatively portentous birth, however, she was never fully accepted by her superstitious peers and instructors at the Dungeon Assistant Preparatory School. Nevertheless, she persisted in her studies and graduated at the top of her class. Unfortunately for her, the “hands-on” training she was supposed to receive from a mentor and his bonded Dungeon Core didn’t go the way she would’ve hoped.

After the frightening experience involved in closing the northwestern Calamity and rescuing his friend, Larek and his companions discover that not everyone is happy about what they accomplished. Forces behind the scenes have made life difficult for the “conquering heroes”, so much so that they are forced to quickly flee the area while they continue their search for Norde. Unfortunately, once they arrive near the southeastern Calamity where Nedira’s younger brother is supposed to be, they encounter a situation that could lead to the downfall of the region, the Kingdom, and even the world.

He had largely accomplished that, but there always seemed to be more to learn about the art of Fusion creation; while resting up after his newest battle successes, he stumbles upon something that would change the way he thought about Fusions forever.

After traveling across the entirety of the Sealance Empire and the deserts of Lowenthal, Larek has returned home to the Kingdom of Androthe to find that the situation is quite different from what he remembered. Not only are there massive Apertures called Calamities consuming large portions of the landscape, but most of his friends are also scattered to locations unknown around the Kingdom. Worse yet, they have no idea who he is because of the Dominion magic used on them before he was transported to the Empire.

A time of great darkness is approaching, but will Sandra and her dungeon survive? After being responsible for destroying multiple Dungeon Cores, the consequences of which she has yet to see but knows will be coming, Sandra and her friends must obtain help from the leadership of the nearby lands. The problem will soon become bigger than she can contain, and only by them all working together will everyone survive the dangers represented by the nearby dungeons.

After a harrowing battle where he nearly died, Larek’s slow recovery has given his enemies a chance to strike back at him and his growing group of Volunteers. Not only has the Scission Interception Corps—an outdated organization that used to protect the Kingdom of Androthe before the introduction of Apertures fractured their power—taken it upon themselves to fight the growing influence of the Volunteers, but they have also enlisted the help of the local Factions to stop Larek and his friends from taking control of the region that they just freed from a Calamity.
