Ganz sicher hätte sie Goethe nie geschrieben, wäre der Dichter nicht in regelmäßige Korrespondenz mit Schiller getreten, der ihn anspornte, für seine Zeitschriften eine Fülle von Lyrik und Prosa beizusteuern. Und was für den "Zauberlehrling" gilt, gilt für so viele weitere literarische Glanzpunkte in Goethes' wie auch in Schillers' Werk.
