2018年12月10日に、インターネット商用化25周年&ダグラス・ エンゲルバートのThe Demo 50周年を記念して開催した「IT25・ 50」シンポジウムでは、アラン・ケイがロンドンと東京を繋ぎ、基調講演とパ ネルディスカッションを行い、それをYouTube Liveでライブと日 本語同時通訳付きライブの二系統で日本全国(共催11カ所/全20カ所)、全世界(米国・ドイツなど)に同時配信。どこにいても一 緒に議論をしたり視聴したりできる、現代のテクノロジーの最前線 を実際にデモンストレーションしたシンポジウムであった。

Appleは2019年3月25日開催のスペシャルイベントにおいて発表された、Apple News+、Apple Arcade、Apple TV+とApple TV Channel、Apple Cardとキャッシュレス等について紹介しつつ、発表内容から今後Appleが目指す方向性を考察し、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が語り合いました。

Appleは2016年9月8日iPhone 7およびiPhone 7 Plusを発表。更にApple Watch Series 2や新型ワイヤレスヘッドフォンAirPodsも発表され、同時に日本におけるApple Payの導入とSuica対応も発表された。また10月28日には新型MacBook Proを発表。従来のファンクションキーに代えて、Touch Bar™という、Multi-Touch™ディスプレイを搭載した、新しいインターフェイスが特長である。これらの発表からAppleは今後どう展開していくと考えられるか、高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が対談しました。

Appleは2018年6月5日開催のWWDC 2018においてMac OS MojaveおよびiOS 12、Watch OS 5を発表。開発者会議の名にふさわしくソフトウエアに焦点を絞った内容でした。今後Appleが目指す方向性を、ユーザーのセキュリティという観点も含めながら高木利弘氏と大谷和利氏が語り合いました。
