This is the legend of Saint Frank, and the great deeds he what did to earn that Sainthood, not born a Saint, in the beginning he was just, Frank, but not long after some stuff that took long, he became Sir. Frank. Sir. Frank may or may not have slayed a Dragon, if he did then this is the Tale of how Sir. Frank became Saint Frank, and if he did not then this is the story of nearly a Saint Frank and a triumphant Dragon.

Frank has questions, many questions. Startled to learn that his wife did not die after smoking mushrooms, in their mushroom smoker and burning the house down, Frank sets off on a quest to find her, and the many answers to the many questions that he has about her disappearance. The quests just keep coming, as there’s trouble in paradise, a rogue saint, Saint Charlie, has quit his job as a saint, and he’s come to Earth to make the world his domain.

This is the story of a theological conflict concerning the concepts of “grace” versus “grease.” The “cult of Frank,” a religious movement advocating the salvific potential of viscosity, frying, and culinary lubrication is gaining many converts. The story opens with a sermon by Father Anselm Loosespring, a Frankite advocate, who promotes “holy grease” as essential for faith, spirituality, and combating Frank’s opponent, the Adversarial Tobacconist, Runciman.

This pseudo-theological narrative chronicle details the spiritual journey of a man named Glen, who is called to become The Fryer, a prophet of viscosity and fried food. Included among the issues and events are The Fryer’s initial revelation, a growing understanding of the doctrine of Grease as the memory of heat, the establishment of the secret society known as The Order of the Greasy Spoon, and his performance of The Fifteen Sizzlings. Glen experiences conflict with the Dry Ones, an immersion in The Dark Night of the Stove, and a physical encounter with the ordinary yet divine figure Frank.

In the festering muck of Boggy Ballsack Swamp, Frank—a short-legged, rage-fueled frog—croaks his way through a dark comedy fantasy that’s as hilarious as it is unhinged.
