1984 liefen die Vorbereitungen für die letzte Kottan-Staffel (Folgen 20-25). Die Drehbücher waren fertig und abgenommen, der Produktionsstab stand fest und auch die Besetzung war bereits engagiert. Doch wenige Tage vor Drehbeginn beschloss der damalige Generalintendant des ORF den Kottan hinterrücks zu meucheln. Nun sind die Zeit und die Öffentlichkeit dafür reif zu erfahren, wie Kottan tatsächlich endet. Unter der Federführung von Jan Zenker hat sich das Kottan-Team wieder zusammen gefunden und die verlorenen Drehbücher in Hörspiele zu verwandeln... Das wahre Ende von Kottan!
